Other mystical places that we will visit on the ⚜️Journey to the Key of Life through the Temples of Egypt with a private Nile cruise ⛵ in September 2026 are the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
In the morning at sunrise, you have the opportunity to enjoy a hot air balloon flight and see these monumental buildings from above.
On the west bank of Thebes, time slows down. It is as if the landscape itself is leading us to silence, listening, and deeper layers of memory.
It is here that the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon stand – two forms of one truth: who we are when we remain standing in our strength even in the face of time.
The Temple of Hatshepsut rises from the desert with extraordinary ease. The terraces open up one after another, like steps on a path to its own center.
Hatshepsut – the woman who became pharaoh – she was not a rebel of the outside world. She was personificationm an internal authority that does not need consent to be true.
On our journey through Egypt, I felt the theme of female strength and self-worth strongly here . Not the one who fights for recognition, but the one who knows. Hatshepsut teaches us that we don't have to defend our truth. It's enough to live it.
She was the only female pharaoh to rule Egypt for 23 years, which was very unusual.
Born a woman, as there was no male descendant of royal blood, her father provided her with an education in the economic, political, and cultural fields. In return, she raised Egypt economically and expanded foreign trade, earning her respect as a female pharaoh.
Even though her statues, carvings, and cartouches have been destroyed, her power is still evident in the temple – the energy of determination and feminine strength.
The Temple of Hatshepsut invites you to realize that:
⚜️There is no need to fight with men and prove your strength
⚜️You just need to be aware of your worth and stand firm in your strength
⚜️Feminine strength and determination are part of every woman
The Colossi of Memnon stand nearby as guardians of the threshold . They are the remains of a mortuary temple that was destroyed by an earthquake.
Two giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, silent yet eloquent. They remind us of continuity. Permanence. That which remains within us, even as forms change.
In ancient times, one of them was said to have "sang" at sunrise, as if the stone carried the voice of memory.
The Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon are not about power. They are about dignity. About the peace that comes when we stop doubting our worth.
On the journey through Egypt, it is a place where feminine and masculine energies meet in silence.
Where the soul remembers.
And where there is no longer any need to be someone other than who we really are.
On this part of the journey, I ask a question:
What in me wants to be seen, but no longer demonstrated?
After visiting these beautiful places, we will visit an alabaster workshop , where you can buy many beautiful handmade artifacts , such as an ankh - the key of life, statuettes of gods, a candlestick or a vase.
And then we can relax again in our hotel with a swimming pool ...
It's not a big hotel, so we often have the pool to ourselves, even late into the evening...😉
Space for integrating experiences is an important part of this journey , which is why we have only one temple per day, except for one day.
The point is not to "re-church" this journey, "re-meditate", "re-ritualize"..., but to honor the capacity of the body and nervous system ❤
