Another beautiful place, a temple that we will visit in March on ⚜️Journey to the Key of Life through the Temples of Egypt with a private Nile cruise ⛵ is:
Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon – the memory of female power and the voice of eternity
ATTENTION: last 3 places available ❣️
On the west bank of Thebes, time slows down. It is as if the landscape itself is leading us to silence, listening, and deeper layers of memory.
It is here that the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon stand – two forms of the same truth: Who are we when we stand strong in the face of time?.
The Temple of Hatshepsut rises from the desert with extraordinary ease. The terraces open up one after another, like steps on a path to its own center.
Hatshepsut – the woman who became pharaoh – she was not a rebel of the outside world. She was the personification of an inner authority that does not need approval to be true.
On my trip through Egypt, I felt strongly here the topic of female self-esteem. Not the one who fights for recognition, but the one who knows. Hatshepsut teaches us that her We don't have to defend the truth. We just have to live it..
She was the only female pharaoh to rule Egypt for 23 years, which was very unusual.
Born a woman, as there was no male descendant of royal blood, her father gave her an education in economics and politics. In return, she boosted Egypt's economy and expanded foreign trade, earning her respect as a female pharaoh.
Even though its statues, engravings and cartouches were destroyed, her strength is still evident in the temple – the energy of determination and self-worth.
The Colossi of Memnon stand nearby like guardians of the threshold. They are the remains of a mortuary temple that was destroyed by an earthquake.
Two giant statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, silent yet eloquent. They remind us of continuity. Permanence. That which remains within us, even as forms change.
In ancient times, one of them was said to have "sang" at sunrise, as if the stone carried the voice of memory.
The Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon are not about power. They are about dignity. About the peace that comes when we stop doubting our worth.
On the way through Egypt it is a place where feminine and masculine energy meet in silence.
Where the soul remembers.
And where there is no longer any need to be someone other than who we really are.
On this part of the journey, I ask a question:
What in me wants to be seen, but no longer demonstrated?
After visiting these beautiful places, we will visit an alabaster workshop, where you can buy many beautiful artifacts, statuettes, and vases made of alabaster and basalt.
And then we will stay for 2 nights at the great Thebes hotel with a rooftop pool, which offers us wonderful relaxation until late in the evening...😉
